Hey, I’m Holly

I’m a freelance copywriter, based between my hometown of St Albans and London, though I have the privilege of being able to work from anywhere, and have done some of my best writing in locations like New York City, the Amalfi Coast and Paris. I’ve been writing professionally for over 6 years, and unprofessionally since I could hold a pen. I’ve been lucky enough to work with some incredible global clients like UGG, Urban Outfitters, H&M, Lee Jeans, Fitflop and Cadbury, writing for all forms of digital marketing, as well as in-store retail copy, SMS marketing, and even podcast audio ad scripts.

I previously worked agency-side at Digitas, where I led the SEO Content team for H&M, contributing to two Effies award wins, a bronze for their UK awards and a silver for the Euro Effies.

As a fashion addict, pop culture obsessive and all-round chronically-online Millennial, rarely does a trend pass me by. This, combined with my years of experience and deeper understanding of marketing allows me to craft engaging, meaningful content for fashion and lifestyle brands.

Outside of my fashion copywriting, I write a Substack newsletter called The Faucet, where I share book reviews and personal essays.

Every client I work with has a different story, and I always take time to understand the unique journey of a brand, how they wish to be known, and what their ideal customer looks like. I’ve been involved at every stage of the process.

Whether I’m helping a new start-up define their tone of voice, supporting medium-size businesses come up with a content strategy or working with large-scale global brands with their omnichannel copy needs, I am well-versed in all stages of the process.

I’m just as comfortable writing short-form copy for emails, social and e-comm as I am getting stuck into long-form blog content, like the piece I wrote for H&M, which became their most-viewed magazine article for 2021, generating over £100k in click-through revenue.
